Mr H. Tanaka was amazing! I highly recommend this place and the food, it was hands down one of the best meals I've ever had. The meat melt in my mouth, it was an amazing experience! He took the time to help us pair the meat and above all it was amazing to see how much he cared for every detail while he cooked. Service was really good as well. We had a great time and food was amazing.

It was our first time visiting Kobe yesterday and we wanted to try Kobe beef. We got their prime Kobe beef sirloin and we were blown away. Literally have to try to understand. It just melted in our mouth. Sorry we forgot our chefs name, however she was extremely accommodating, cooked everything to perfection and even suggested us what to pair the food with for maximum experience. She also spoke very good English. I would highly recommend this place to anyone

Each bite melted in the mouth without feeling greasy, clearly showcasing the quality of authentic Kobe beef. Maru and Tanaka Chief preparation was spot-on, allowing the beef itself to shine without overpowering seasoning. Service was attentive and professional, and the staff took time to explain the cuts and best way to enjoy them, which elevated the overall dining experience. A premium dining experience well worth it for anyone who truly appreciates high-quality beef. Highly recommended.

Chef Oji’s skill, attention to detail, and passion for her craft made all the difference. She gracefully prepared our meal—each step felt like an art performance as much as a dinner service. The way she seared the Kobe beef, brought out the flavors, and guided us through each course was both mesmerizing and deeply personal. Each bite was a revelation—rich, melt-in-your-mouth beef with perfectly balanced seasoning, paired with thoughtfully selected sides and accompaniments. Chef Oji even took the time to explain the origin of the beef, her cooking techniques, and how to best appreciate the textures and flavors. Her warmth, enthusiasm, and artistry made us feel more than just guests—she treated us like honored friends. If you’re looking for a standout dining experience in Kobe, I wholeheartedly recommend visiting this restaurant—and specifically asking for Chef Oji’s table. A great place to go if you want to sample different cuts of Kobe beef. Our chef, Tanaka, was super hospitable and friendly, giving us helpful guidance on how to enjoy the meats with the different condiments. Great fun and interesting to see how he cooks everything at the teppan grill. Pricey lunch but worth it!

If you're looking to have an authentic Kobe beef experience, while in Kobe, you can't go wrong at Kobe Beef Daichi! I was extremely apprehensive about spending so much money on a single dinner, but in hindsight it worth it and will be a great food memory for years to come. Chef Maruoka put on a fabulous presentation and cooked the steak to perfection. A once in a lifetime experience! Thank you

Tucked away in a corner is this amazing restaurant that serves up authentic Kobe beef. They have different cuts and will run you through what will be good for your meal. Every slice of beef, no matter the cut, melts in your mouth. Pair them with the assortment of condiments to tantalize your taste buds further! Special shout out to Tanaka for preparing our meal with finesse!

I've eaten A5 Kobe a lot in Japan, but this was my first time indulging in it from its hometown, and there is just something extra special about the experience. The lunch set automatically gets upgraded to include rice and salad and is thus a better deal than dinner service. We chose 110g Premium Rare Cut and 220g of lean A5, along with garlic rice (which was the best that I've ever had). The overall service is wonderful, and the chef is skillful and entertaining! Your trip in Japan is incomplete without a wagyu teppanyaki experience. By the way, Kobe Daichi has a very high rating on Tabelog, so it's local Japanese approved.
